Have you ever found something you didn't know you lost? Or maybe something that you didn't know you needed? Both of these happened to us in the last few days, and I bet you have no idea who found the most ridiculous thing... Hint: it wasn't me.

A couple of weekends ago, in an effort to get rid of some things we no longer need, and to save my sanity, Bryan and I finally cleaned out the coat closet in our living room. I wish I had taken a before and after picture because this thing was a mess! It resembled a mini, not so intense, episode of hoarders. No worries we didn't throw trash in it or lose any animals, it was just a catch-all for all the random things we didn't have a place for. During this adventure we threw away a bunch of stuff that we no longer wear or can't fit into. It was fun to remember when and where we got some of the things, but even better to get rid of stuff that was taking up valuable space.

During this purge I found something I had no idea I had lost. On my first trip to Vegas 3 years ago I bought a zip-up hoodie that I loved. It was everything a hoodie should be in my book: comfy, simple design, inexpensive, and bonus points for a fun memory connected to it. It was my go to for a long time, until I "lost" it. Honestly I had acquired different jackets, got pregnant, it was too cold, or too hot, and eventually I just didn't know I missed it. That is until we uncovered it from the black hole of the hoarder closet!

I was so excited when we were going through the piles of random clothes we had in there and it appeared. Of course I couldn't throw it away and have been gladly wearing it regularly since. I must clarify that I did in fact throw a lot of other things away, some were harder than others, but I was much happier with a clean, stress free closet than I will be with any of those clothes I no longer wear. Also, we didn't technically throw the clothes away, we donated them, so no worries peeps we are semi-green.

The second scenario happened around the same time. Bryan and I had gone to lunch one day and I could not find my sunglasses when we got in the car after eating. I figured I left them on the table, but we were in a hurry so I decided not to worry about it. A little back-story on my sunglasses: On our honeymoon I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses in the ocean (which probably negates my previous green statement.) So we went to the mall and I got the same pair. Sadly a few months later Bryan lost them when I asked him to hold on to them at an outdoor event. Since then I've worn the same green pair of lost and found sunglasses that Bryan snagged from his old job. Which might make us green again, right? Well I was convinced this green pair had suffered the inevitable fate of all the other glasses and was lost for good. I had looked everywhere, the diaper bag, my purse, the car, etc. They were gone.

That weekend we went to Target (big spenders right here) and I got a new pair of glasses. They looked pretty much the same just a different color. I'm a huge baby when it comes to being outside with no sunglasses so I was overjoyed to have some new ones! A few days go by and Bryan was looking in another bag I had with me that day to get something and lo and behold the green glasses were in there! I felt pretty dumb for a few seconds, and told Bryan he should take them and wear them. I had no idea about the can of worms I opened.

Bryan wore them for about a day and realized he's really been missing out on sunglasses. The other thing he realized was that he wears glasses more often than contacts so sunglasses weren't exactly fitting for his fashion life. So he started hunting for something that is so ridiculous it should be illegal, and a few days later these were on our doorstep:
I mean really grandpa? Did we need to sink down to this level? I must admit this picture doesn't do them justice. For a great example of how not cool these are click HERE. There are so many things wrong with this I can't even bring myself to write about them, just know I will not be seen in public with these bad boys unless absolutely, life or death, necessary.

It's funny how we can go so long without something and in an instant decided that we NEED it. What is something you suddenly realized was essential to your life after a long period of time? Share your story in the comment section below!

Until next time....

Yo yo yo it's Friday night and I'm sure you're all sitting at home waiting for a new blog post. Well people you asked and you shall receive! So here it is:

If you live in Oklahoma then you know how great our "plain" ol state is! I have to admit that I wasn't a big fan of this place for a long time, you know during my teenage angst years, but now there is no place I'd rather be. And this year there is another thing to add to my growing list of Okie awesomeness..... ladies and gentlemen I present to you the shirt of the month!

Some super cool friends of ours started the shirt of the month which is possibly the coolest thing out there right now. You can sign up HERE and for $10 a month you get a sweet Oklahoma themed shirt mailed to you every month. I'm not sure it gets much better than that. I don't know about ya'll but anytime I can get something delivered to my door I'm a pretty happy camper.

You should probably also check out their Facebook page, and get in on the all the giveaways they have going on!

I'm a big fan of good people, good design, and good ideas and OSCO has it all. I have 2 shirts already and I can't wait to get the latest one coming in February. Do it this month or regret it the next!

Until next time....

Yesterday marked a momentous day for our family, Bryan started playing in an indoor soccer league and I got to watch him play soccer for the first time ever. It's pretty weird to miss out on something that was such a big part of your spouse's life. Bryan never saw me cheer, act, or sing and I never saw him wrestle, play soccer, and be the most popular person ever. So needless to say it was pretty fun to watch him do something he loves so much. And of course he wants to pass all of that down to the girls. We're hoping to get Izzy into soccer this spring and if she likes it she'll be able to play on a team next season which would be so fun... and cute... and sad because my baby shouldn't be that old.

I have to admit my knowledge of soccer is less than minimal. I know you need to kick it in the goal, yellow cards are bad, the time keeping is weird, and David Beckham plays. Speaking of Mr. Beckham, I'm pretty convinced that we are well on our way to being the next Beckhams.

We have a few differences such as:
- We smile
- We aren't rich, freakishly skinny, or have great hair (Bryan has a great hair, the girls and I have thin, do nothing hair)
- We only have female children
- I am neither Posh nor a style icon
- We don't have sweet English accents
- We've never been a part of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. (Still waiting on that call though, pretty sure it's coming any day)

However we do have some similarities, which include:
- David and Bryan are both incredibly good looking.
- We like soccer
- We've all lived in America
- Victoria designs clothes, and I wear clothes
- They've probably met the queen, I was homecoming queen in Jr. High....

So as you can see we lead very similar lives. I just hope they're ready for a little competition. In all seriousness though it was really fun to go watch B Ket bring the heat, and I can't wait to see him score even more goals next week!

Is there something you and your significant other haven't shared that was a big part of your lives pre-marriage? Tell me about it in the comment section!

I made it!!! Tonight Bryan and I will end our fast and you better believe I'll be celebrating with 100 cans of Vanilla Coke!! I'm pretty surprised that I made it through the whole thing with zero soda. I'm pretty proud of myself. In full disclosure, I hated almost every single day of no soda. Some days I didn't really notice, but some nights we'd go to eat and I would crave a soda. I know that's not healthy, and I sound like a crazy addict but it's the truth.

In other news, Izzy and I have taken on a new adventure. I've always wanted to be super mom who reads to her kids every single night. Well needless to say I have slacked in that department. Honestly most nights it's a win if we get everyone bathed, fed, and in bed on time without any meltdowns. And now with Elly being here trying to get a few quiet minutes of reading is almost impossible.

Like I said I am not a fan of reading, but I remember being little and loving books, but somewhere along the way I stopped enjoying reading. In a world filled with technology and print dying I think it's important to teach our kids to slow down and use their imagination while enjoying a good book. I think electronics have their place, and Izzy's learned a lot from the games on her leap pad, but it's our goal for us all to unplug a little. I know Izzy loves "reading" and telling us stories so I'm really putting forth a conscious effort to spend time in books with her, and help grow that so we can stop reading the same ones over and over.

Yesterday we started reading "The Wizard of Oz." I've always loved the movie but never read the book. Crazy right? We're only 3 chapters in and I'm already surprised by the differences. I do think the version I got is condensed for kids but it's still weird. Dorothy doesn't even wear red slippers, they're silver! Anyways, I thought it would be fun to read a story that's a classic, and when we're done we can watch the movie as a reward. I really hope we can stick with this and read more. I know we won't be able to every single night, but as long as it's semi-regular I'll be happy!

What about you? Do you all read to your kids or on your own? What are some fun ideas to get your kids to enjoy reading? Sound off in the comments section!

Until next time...

Well folks it's Friday, cue Rebecca Black, and because I don't feel like cleaning and both girls are in bed (or at least trying to be in bed) I'm going to do my first recap of the week's reality shows! Caution the amount and quality of reality television that I watch is probably unhealthy... don't judge.

Let's start with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I'll ask the question I'm sure every one is thinking. What did Brandi say about Adrienne?! I mean really, what is so bad that you're willing to start a lawsuit about it? Also I need to note that I am Team Kyle. I always have that one person who's my favorite and for Beverly Hills it's Kyle... and Lisa, mainly because I've always wanted an British accent. I feel like they both try to be the voice of reason and are definitely the most level headed. Well as level headed as gagillionaires can be.

I know 80% of this is staged, but I like to pretend that all these people really hang out and make a scene in public every other day. And can we talk about Yolanda's fridge for second? Holy cow that thing is crazy! Who thinks of the things these people put in their houses? This week I loved that Mauricio finally spoke up about how dumb this Brandi/Adrienne thing is. I'm surprised it took so long since they ruined his work event. I would have put in my two cents a long time ago. And last but not least, did anyone else find Taylor, Brandi, and Camille a little creepy at the dinner? They're pep-talk about being single and 40 was just odd. You live in Beverly Hills how hard can life be?

Up Next, The Bachelor. I promised myself I was done after Emily, but I think Sean is just the sweetest thing and I'm really not sure how he's single. Does he never leave his house? Is he Catfishing us and he's actually a robot controlled by a 900lbs. woman that lives with her 87 cats? Speaking of Catfish, I really think Manti Te'o knew his girlfriend was fake a long time ago.. just saying. Anyways, while I think the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise is pretty trashy I can't help but watch. I know it can work, very rarely, but it's almost guaranteed that the couple won't last and why are we surprised? They spend a few weeks together with cameras around the whole time and are forced to propose talk about pressure!

I'm also not sure why so many crazy people are let on there and why the producers don't warn them once the psychosis appears. I know it makes for great tv, but I want a love story! Am I right America? This year we have Tierra and apparently Amanda vying for the crazy slot, I also feel like Desiree could end up on this boat. As for my favorites, I like Sarah and Kacie, mainly because they seem to be the most normal and I like their stories. Ya know, exactly what ABC wants us to do. I really enjoyed Sarah and Sean's date and I like that he doesn't seem to be bothered by her having one arm. Way to go Sean! Kacie is just fun to me and I feel like she came there for the right reason so hopefully they can stay out of the friendzone.

This is probably Bryan's favorite... Teen Mom 2. I have to say I like the original girls better, but this is what we're left with. A few things from this week: 1. How sad was it that Chelsea's dog died? Yes it should have been on a leash but I can't imagine seeing one of my pups being attacked. :( 2. I'm glad Leah didn't fall for Corey's trap. I really wanted them to work out in the beginning but his reasoning for coming back around was only because he saw how happy she is. Spoiler alert, because this season was filmed so long ago we now know that Leah married Jeremy and it seems like they all get along so good for them. (I am still holding out for Maci and Ryan to get back together though.)

3. Man Kailyn makes me sad. I can't imagine not having your mom around. As a girl your mom is your best friend and from what they've said she's always been more interested in her boyfriends than Kailyn which is sad. I sure hope they can work things out. 4. Janelle..... she makes my blood boil, but we won't get into that. How many times can this girl move?! I've stopped counting now and next week they show her friend moving out. Hey Janelle find the common denominator of your issues and for the sake of your cute little boy get some help.

Bryan's second favorite, Dance Moms! Okay this show is getting waaay too fake. Obviously the only reason Abby can get all these great dancers to come to her studio is because everyone knows who she is and that they'll be on TV if they do. Why else would parents drag their children across the country to audition for her? I am glad to see that Maddie has a little bit of competition though, she's sweet but I do want to see someone else win. I love Chloe and always feel so bad for how Abby treats her and this week was no exception, she was totally set up to fail. As for the mom's I think Holly is the bees knees. I think she handles almost every situation perfectly, she should run for president! Holly 2016!!

Bonus!!!
This isn't a reality show but how awesome was Grey's Anatomy this week? I LOVE that they are getting back to their roots of being funny with the right balance of seriousness. It was so depressing for awhile, hopefully this season won't end with some extremely unlikely tragedy. I was pretty much boohooing when Mark died, so I can't handle any more. I'm glad Meredith finally told everyone she's pregnant and I hope this one works out! I'm also happy that Owen and Christina are getting along but I wish they were still married... maybe they'll get re-married? Who knows. And how about McDreamy's ping pong skills? Hopefully he'll be operating soon and the rumors of him leaving the show aren't true! Not much to say about Grey's other than I'm happy they're heading in a more fun direction even though I'm sure it will be depressing again soon enough.

Well friends, that's all I've got. The Thunder is on and it's getting close. My boys need me!
